Indonesian trials continue to show promise
We are encouraged to see a high number of mosquitoes carrying Wolbachia in Nogotirto and Kronggahan, approximately four months after we began releasing Wolbachia mosquitoes in these communities.
At the end of May, results showed that 78% of the mosquitoes we collected in our Nogotirto release area carried Wolbachia, and 66% carried Wolbachia in our Kronggahan release area.
We have finished our planned releases of Wolbachia mosquitoes in Nogotirto and Kronggahan, and we will continue to monitor how well Wolbachia is establishing in the local mosquito population.
