Project collaborators meet in Yogyakarta
In early May Eliminate Dengue lead scientist, Prof Scott O’Neill traveled to Yogyakarta, Indonesia accompanied by program funding partners from The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, along with international research collaborators.
The group met with Eliminate Dengue Indonesia project funders and partners from Yayasan Tahija and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Together with Greg Moriarty, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, the group toured a potential field site in Sleman district and laboratory facilities at UGM. The group was then officially met by Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, Governor of Yogyakarta at Kraton, the Sultan’s palace (pictured left).
